Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be visiting Assam today. He will arrive at an emergency landing facility on the Moran Bypass, located on National Highway in the Dibrugarh district, around 10:30 am. There, he will also witness a demonstration of fighter aircraft, transport aircraft, and helicopters.
This emergency landing facility is the first of its kind in Northeast India, designed and developed to assist in the landing and take-off of military and civilian aircraft in case of emergencies, in coordination with the Air Force. Mr. Modi will also inaugurate various development projects worth over ₹5,450 crore in Guwahati.
