
Strengthening Indo-Belgian Ties: Economic and Cultural Discussions at Raj Bhavan
Princess Astrid of Belgium met Maharashtra Governor C P Radhakrishnan at Raj Bhavan in south Mumbai on Friday, highlighting Belgium's commitment to enhancing ties with India.
Princess Astrid is currently leading a significant economic mission comprising around 300 delegates to India. During her visit to Raj Bhavan, she was accompanied by a high-level ministerial delegation, including Belgium’s Deputy Prime Minister Maxime Prévot and other senior ministers.
The meeting saw Princess Astrid and Governor Radhakrishnan exchanging views on various strategic areas such as boosting trade and business, exploring opportunities in green energy, and promoting collaborations in tourism, education, and culture.
As a gesture of goodwill, Governor Radhakrishnan presented Princess Astrid with a special photo album. The album featured photographs from previous visits by members of the Belgian Royal Family to Raj Bhavan, marking the deep historical ties between Belgium and Maharashtra.
The Governor personally accompanied Princess Astrid and her delegation, showcasing Raj Bhavan and its historical significance during their visit.
