Chandigarh, April 5 — In a proactive move to ensure fire safety during the wheat harvesting season, the Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has established a dedicated control room to handle electrical emergencies, especially those involving low-hanging wires that pose a fire risk to wheat fields.Power Minister Harbhajan Singh announced the initiative, emphasizing the importance of quick response to prevent fire outbreaks caused by electrical sparks. He highlighted that loose or sagging wires near wheat fields can lead to severe damage if not reported and addressed in time.
