The Puducherry Assembly passed the Appropriation (Vote on Account) Bill through a voice vote today, allocating 5,396 crore rupees for the first five months of the next fiscal year, 2026-27. The bill was introduced by Chief Minister N. Rangasamy, who also holds the Finance portfolio. A bill seeking approval for additional expenditure for the current financial year was also introduced in the House. The assembly adjourned sine die after completing the scheduled business.
