Srinagar, February 16: Boys and Girls Basketball Tournaments under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) 2025–26 concluded at the Sports Stadium, Pulwama. The concluding ceremony was presided over by SSP Pulwama, Ms. Tanushree-IPS, in the presence of senior officers and enthusiastic spectators.
Addressing the gathering, SSP Pulwama emphasized that sports not only enhance physical fitness but also instill discipline, confidence, and teamwork among youth. She stated that the J&K Police remains committed to providing constructive platforms for young boys and girls, enabling them to channelize their potential in a positive direction.
The Boys category final witnessed an exciting contest between HR Ballers Basketball Club Pulwama and Brothers Basketball Club Pulwama, with HR Ballers Basketball Club Pulwama emerging as champions. The winning team received ₹20,000 and a trophy, while the runner-up team received ₹15,000 along with a trophy.
In the Girls category, Dolphin Basketball Club Pulwama secured the championship title after defeating Solace International Basketball Club Pulwama in a spirited final. The winners were presented with ₹20,000 and a trophy, whereas the runner-up team received ₹15,000 and a trophy.
Individual performances were also acknowledged, with the Player of the Tournament in both categories receiving ₹5,000 each, and the Player of the Match in both categories awarded ₹3,000 each. As part of the encouragement measures, sports uniforms were distributed to all teams that qualified for the finals.
