Pune, February 9 NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar was brought to a private hospital in Pune from his residence in Baramati on Monday after complaining of a cough and difficulty in breathing. The 85-year-old leader was accompanied by his daughter and Lok Sabha member, Supriya Sule, and her husband, Sadanand Sule, to the Ruby Hall Clinic. Immediately after arriving from Baramati, approximately 100 km from Pune, the former Union minister, who had lost his nephew and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar in a plane crash on January 28, was wheeled into the hospital. Dr. Parvez Grant, the chief cardiologist and managing trustee of the hospital, said that a team of doctors will examine Pawar and determine the next course of action. Pawar, who had previously battled oral cancer, was suffering from a throat infection, persistent cough, and chest congestion, according to party sources.
