Sensitive Army Movement Details Leaked; Online Payments Traced
Chandigarh, May 11 – In a significant counter-espionage breakthrough, the Punjab Police on Sunday arrested two individuals for their alleged involvement in spying for a Pakistani official stationed at the High Commission in New Delhi.The operation, initiated on the basis of credible intelligence inputs, revealed that one of the suspects had been leaking sensitive information regarding Indian Army movements to a Pakistan-based handler. According to Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav, the suspect was in direct communication with the foreign handler and shared classified data in return for payments made through online transactions.
Second Accused Apprehended Following Interrogation
“Based on disclosures made during interrogation, a second conduit was also identified and taken into custody,” DGP Yadav announced in a post on X.
