Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Sunday emphasized that the Kerala leadership "stands as one," highlighting unity and a shared purpose among party leaders ahead of next year's assembly elections in the state.
His statement came shortly after a key strategy meeting involving the Congress's top brass and Kerala leadership at the party's 'Indira Bhawan' headquarters in New Delhi. The nearly three-hour-long brainstorming session, held on Friday, revolved around enhancing discipline, ensuring unity, and strengthening the organizational structure in Kerala.
In a Facebook post featuring an image of Kerala Congress leaders addressing the media, Rahul Gandhi wrote, "They stand as one, united by the light of purpose ahead," and used the hashtag #TeamKerala to underline solidarity within the party's state unit.

During the meeting, Rahul Gandhi reportedly urged Kerala leaders to exercise caution regarding their political strategies and emphasized the importance of strictly adhering to the party line. According to internal sources, Gandhi stressed that leaders should avoid making any remarks or decisions that deviate from the party's overall objectives.Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge reiterated the importance of party discipline, unity among members, and promptly filling vacant positions to further fortify the Congress presence in Kerala.

Addressing the media after the session, Deepa Dasmunshi, AICC in-charge of Kerala, said the high command conveyed a clear message to the state leaders that the party shares a strong emotional and political connection with the people of Kerala."We got a clear indication from our high command that the Congress is very much connected with the people of Kerala emotionally and politically. People are looking for a change, so we should not do anything that will disrespect the people of Kerala," Dasmunshi stated.
She further warned that strong action would be taken against individuals making any personal statements contrary to party principles, reiterating, "We have no right to disrespect the people of Kerala."
