Today, security forces conducted a mock drill near the railway track at Lakhanpur to assess preparedness and coordination in handling emergency situations and potential security threats.
The exercise aimed to strengthen response mechanisms and ensure the safety of passengers, as well as vital railway infrastructure, in the sensitive border area. During the drill, various threat scenarios were simulated, followed by the rapid deployment of security personnel to evaluate response time, coordination, and operational readiness.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Muskan stated that such mock drills are part of routine security measures undertaken to enhance vigilance and preparedness in vulnerable and sensitive locations. She added that regular exercises help security agencies remain alert and improve their ability to respond effectively to any unforeseen incident.
Officials said the drill helped identify areas for improvement while reinforcing inter-agency coordination, contributing to overall security and public safety in the region.
