Jaipur, Feb 2 (PTI) – Rajasthan is set to make history once again as students, teachers, and the general public prepare to perform Surya Namaskar in schools across the state on Monday. The ambitious initiative, spearheaded by Education Minister Madan Dilawar, is aiming for a new world record.
Dilawar, who will be participating in the event at SMS Stadium in Jaipur, has urged people to turn up in large numbers to contribute to the historic attempt.
Highlighting the state's past achievement, the minister noted that last year, 1.33 crore students from 78,974 schools had performed Surya Namaskar simultaneously, setting a remarkable record. This year, Rajasthan is striving to surpass that milestone and set a new global benchmark.
The mass event underscores the state's commitment to promoting yoga and physical fitness, with the added aspiration of etching Rajasthan’s name in record books once again.
