JAIPUR, Feb 2:
Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma on Sunday underlined that ensuring the prosperity of farmers stands at the forefront of the state government’s agenda. Addressing a Kisan Sammelan in Karauli district, Sharma emphasized the need to focus on two crucial resources for agriculture—electricity and water.
Focus on Farmers’ Welfare
Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision that a country’s progress is directly tied to the advancement of its farmers, laborers, youth, and women, Sharma stressed the government’s commitment to making farmers happy and prosperous. He noted that from the very beginning, his administration prioritized farmers’ core requirements of electricity and water.Boosting Religious Tourism
Sharma also spoke about the state government’s efforts to develop Rajasthan’s spiritual heritage. Several revered temples are undergoing renovation to promote religious tourism. He highlighted ongoing development work at the Khatushyam temple, which is receiving an investment of INR 100 crore, and at Poonchri ka Lautha. In addition, the Jagdish Dham temple will be revamped under the Krishna Gaman Path project.Youth Employment and Paper Leak Prevention
In a bid to tackle unemployment, Sharma stated that the government has eliminated paper leaks, paving the way for transparent recruitments. Around 60,000 young individuals have already been given government jobs, and the number is expected to reach 100,000 (1 lakh) in the coming months. This forms part of the government’s larger pledge to provide four lakh jobs within five years.
