Jaipur, March 1: Several regions in Rajasthan, including Bharatpur, Churu, and Alwar, witnessed heavy rainfall and hailstorms on Saturday, prompting Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma to convene a high-level video conference with district collectors to assess the situation.
Chief Minister Sharma directed officials to gather detailed reports on crop damage in the affected districts. He instructed the Principal Secretary of the Revenue Department to conduct a swift survey to assess the losses and ensure that necessary assistance reaches farmers at the earliest.
The district collectors of Sikar, Churu, Bikaner, Jhunjhunu, and Khairthal-Tijara have been ordered to expedite the survey process and submit their reports promptly.
Weather Conditions and Impact
According to the Jaipur Meteorological Center, intense hailstorms accompanied by rain were recorded in Bharatpur and Dholpur on Saturday evening, while Alwar experienced strong winds and heavy showers during the night.In Jhunjhunu and Tijara, hailstorms struck in the morning, with cold winds sweeping across Dausa, Karauli, Alwar, and Bharatpur, leading to a significant drop in temperatures by 2-3 degrees Celsius. Additionally, some regions experienced fog on Saturday morning.

- Jhunjhunu (Chirawa): 18 mm
- Malsisar: 14 mm

- Taranagar (Churu): 10 mm
