Jaipur, Feb 28 – Several parts of Rajasthan are expected to experience light rainfall accompanied by thunder and strong winds on Friday and Saturday, according to the local meteorological department.
Radheshyam Sharma, in charge of the Jaipur Meteorological Centre, stated that a low-pressure system over western Rajasthan and its surrounding areas is responsible for the changing weather patterns. As a result, Bikaner, Jodhpur, Jaipur, and Bharatpur divisions are likely to witness light rain and thunderstorms on Friday.
On Saturday, light rain and thunder are expected in some areas of Jaipur, Bharatpur, and the Shekhawati region. However, most other parts of the state will remain dry, Sharma added.
Following this brief spell of rain, Rajasthan is set to experience dry weather conditions for the next four to five days from Sunday onward. Additionally, the minimum temperature in parts of the state is predicted to drop by 2-4 degrees Celsius in the coming days.
As per the latest data from the weather department, Anta in Baran recorded the lowest minimum temperature on Friday at 15.2°C, followed by Ganganagar at 15.6°C, Sirohi at 15.7°C, Alwar at 16°C, Lunkaransar at 16.2°C, Dabok at 16.5°C, and Karauli-Dausa at 16.6°C. Chittorgarh recorded a minimum of 16.9°C. Other cities across Rajasthan registered temperatures between 17.1°C and 20.5°C on Friday morning.
