Mumbai, Feb 3 (PTI) – Netflix has offered a sneak peek into the highly anticipated second season of Rana Naidu, the hit crime drama starring Rana Daggubati and Venkatesh.

An official adaptation of the popular American series Ray Donovan, the show brings together the real-life uncle-nephew duo in a gripping narrative. Rana Naidu follows the titular character (played by Rana Daggubati), the go-to fixer for Bollywood’s elite, while also exploring his tumultuous relationship with his estranged father, Naga (played by Venkatesh).

At Netflix’s 2025 slate announcement event, Daggubati teased that while the first season, which premiered in March 2023, was intense, the upcoming chapter will be even more chaotic and bloodier.

The second season sees Rana Naidu attempting to complete one final job to secure his family's future before leaving the dangerous business behind. However, his plans are derailed as he becomes entangled in personal conflicts and faces the looming threat of a ruthless underworld figure from his past.

In addition to its lead stars, Rana Naidu Season 2 will feature Surveen Chawla and Kriti Kharbanda. Creator Karan Anshuman revealed that the storyline will extend beyond the father-son conflict, introducing new layers of intrigue.

A major addition to the cast this season is actor Arjun Rampal, described as the “wild card” in the series.

Producer Sunder Aaron of Locomotive Global hinted at an even grander scale for the new season. “The vision, scale, and story of Rana Naidu Season 2 will surprise audiences. Our new cast additions are especially exciting, and our collaboration with Netflix has been instrumental in bringing this story to life. When the show drops, I’m confident fans will find it worth the wait,” Aaron said.

With heightened stakes and deeper conflicts, Rana Naidu Season 2 is shaping up to be an action-packed rollercoaster. Fans eagerly await its release on Netflix.
