Rana Sugars Challenges ₹1.55 Crore Tax Demand in Moradabad Tribunal

Chandigarh, February 1, 2025Rana Sugars Limited (BSE: 507490, NSE: RANASUG) has filed an appeal against a tax demand order amounting to approximately ₹1.55 crore raised by the Deputy Commissioner, Moradabad Sector-1, Uttar Pradesh, for the financial year 2020-21.

The company had earlier informed the stock exchanges on November 8, 2024, about the tax demand issued for alleged violations. In a latest regulatory filing, Rana Sugars confirmed that it has officially contested the demand before the Joint Commissioner (Appeals), Moradabad, submitting both online and physical petitions under acknowledgment number AD091224074738O.
