Ranchi, February 8 The Jharkhand Police discovered the decapitated body of a young man on Sunday and subsequently detained a couple in connection with the murder case.
The body was found within the Sonahatu police station limits here, and the individual has been identified as 24-year-old Harihar Mahto, according to police.
Sonahatu Officer in Charge Prem Pradeep said, "We recovered the headless body from a deserted area near the Kanchi River. A couple has been detained in connection with this incident."
He added that the exact reason behind the incident was yet to be determined.
The body has been sent for post-mortem examination, the OC said.
