She described the Budget 2026–27, presented by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, as historic and reflective of a strong commitment towards human development, improved service delivery, and inclusive growth, particularly in the education, health, and social welfare sectors.

Highlighting reforms in the education sector, the Minister said the restoration of the March-November academic session was a major step. She noted that winter zone results recorded an all-time high pass percentage—85% in Class 10, 84% in Class 12, and 83% in Class 11—and expressed hope for improved results in the summer zone as well.
