Kochi, March 3: Dr George P Abraham, a prominent urologist renowned for his expertise in complex urological surgeries, was found dead at his farmhouse in Nedumbassery on Sunday night, police confirmed on Monday. He was 75.
The respected surgeon's body was discovered hanging at his farmhouse located within the jurisdiction of the Nedumbassery police station. Authorities swiftly moved his body to a private hospital in Angamaly, where further procedures and examinations are underway.
Dr Abraham was widely recognized in Kochi's medical community and affiliated with a leading private hospital in the city. Throughout his illustrious career, he personally performed over 2,500 kidney transplant surgeries, solidifying his reputation as one of Kerala’s leading specialists in urological health.
Police have initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding Dr Abraham's death, aiming to ascertain details and clarify the exact sequence of events.
