Report Highlights Pakistan's Role in Regional Instability.webp

New Delhi, February 15. Despite its seven decades of existence as an independent nation, Pakistan has utterly failed to act responsibly, and Turkey's support for Islamic extremism and radicalism has created a disturbing global environment. This situation must be addressed and condemned by other nations, including India, according to a report in a leading online portal.

The report states that Pakistan provided tacit support for the events that led to political turmoil in Bangladesh and actively backed the 2024 student uprising, which plunged the nation into chaos and mindless violence for the next two years.

With elections held on February 12, 2026, to elect a new government, the path to democracy may have begun in Bangladesh, but the repeated attempts by the Pakistani establishment to incite anti-India sentiments in what was formerly known as 'East Pakistan' became increasingly obvious in the past two years. Pakistan's open support for terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir has been repeatedly exposed. With Bangladesh in turmoil, Pakistan sought to exploit a new front against India.

The Sunday Guardian report states that this failed state has only become worse over time, as it has the financial and military support of Gulf nations, including Qatar, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia, and it also serves as a tool for nations like China, who want to weaken India.

"Essentially, Pakistan has become a poisoned dagger that different countries use to weaken and wage a grey zone war against India," it points out.

It further adds, "Pakistan seeks to spread separatism, while Turkey and Qatar, along with Pakistan, are inciting the over 20 crore Muslims in India."

Therefore, it argues that India should adopt a policy of reciprocity, particularly towards Turkey.

"Turkey today offers scholarships to Indian Muslims, whom Turkish Islamists then try to indoctrinate into an intolerant worldview. The Indian government should respond by welcoming Kurdish students, who can learn the skills necessary to promote their identity, cultural, and political rights in order to counter Turkey's increasingly autocratic society," it says.

It further adds that Pakistan has had 80 years to define itself as a responsible state, but it has failed to make the case for its nationhood.

Pakistan's founder, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, defined it as a state for Muslims, but it has deviated from this path through hatred, aggression, and intolerance.

It further sees Turkey as an engine of radicalism in the 21st century and advocates that the world powers, including India, should come forward to contain its brazen bid to spread Islamic extremism and radicalism, thereby preventing the world from further religious division.
