Patna, May 10 – The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) on Saturday called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to convene a special session of Parliament to deliberate on the recent developments stemming from the Pahalgam terror attack and the subsequent ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan.
RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, in a post on social media platform X, emphasized the importance of keeping the nation informed about these critical events.
He stressed that such a session would offer an opportunity for all Indians to express their collective gratitude towards the Indian Army for its courage and sacrifices. He also underscored the need for a united political message to be sent to what he described as a "country running a laboratory of terrorism.""I urge the prime minister to convene a special session of Parliament and share details from the Pahalgam terror attack to the ceasefire and take the country into confidence," Yadav stated.
Earlier in the day, the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMO) of India and Pakistan reached an agreement to cease all military actions across land, air, and sea, with the ceasefire taking effect from 5 PM on Saturday.
Yadav’s appeal comes amid heightened public interest and political calls for greater transparency and unity following a series of high-tension developments in the region.
