Mumbai, February 13 The film "Ginny Wedds Sunny 2", starring actor Avinash Tiwary, is set to release in theaters on April 24, according to the makers.
The romantic-comedy, which also stars Medha Shankr, known for "12th Fail", is written and directed by debutant director Prasshant Jha.
In a social media post on Thursday evening, production banner Zee Studios announced the release date and unveiled a poster for the film.
"Ginny and Sunny are Back! Their relationship is confirmed, but this time there's a twist! #GinnyWeddsSunny2 arrives in cinemas on April 24," the post read.
The film is a sequel to the 2020 romantic-comedy of the same name, which featured Yami Gautam and Vikrant Massey in the lead roles and premiered on Netflix in 2020.
"Ginny Wedds Sunny 2" is set against the contrasting worlds of a tough wrestler (Tiwary) and a free-spirited girl (Shankr), and the chaos and charm that unfolds when their lives collide, according to the official logline.
Actors Lillete Dubey, Sudhir Pandey, Govind Namdev, Gopi Bhalla, Nayani Dixit, Vishwanath Chatterjee, and Rohit Chaudhary also star in the film.
The film is presented by Zee Studios and Soundrya Production, and is produced by Vinod Bachchan and Umesh Kumar Bansal.
