Bhubaneswar, May 12 — Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat arrived in Bhubaneswar on Monday evening for a five-day visit to Odisha, during which he will participate in key organisational meetings and training sessions.
Bhagwat landed at Biju Patnaik International Airport under tight security arrangements. He was received by senior RSS functionaries and dedicated volunteers upon arrival.
Although his detailed itinerary has not been disclosed publicly, RSS leaders confirmed that Bhagwat will stay at the Sangh Sikshya Barga (training camp) in Gatiroutpatna, Cuttack. He is not expected to take part in any external programmes outside the camp premises.
During his stay, the RSS chief is slated to chair closed-door organisational meetings and conduct training sessions aimed at strengthening the Sangh’s grassroots framework. He is also expected to address RSS volunteers on three different occasions at the camp.
In addition to overseeing the training, Bhagwat will review the ongoing RSS activities across Odisha and contribute to the planning of the organisation’s centenary celebrations in the state.
He is scheduled to conclude his visit and leave Odisha on May 16.
