Ruemmler Steps Down at Goldman Sachs Following Epstein Connections

Ruemmler Steps Down at Goldman Sachs Following Epstein Connections.webp

February 13, New Delhi: President Donald Trump stated on Thursday that he was unaware of Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick visiting the private island of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. He told reporters that he had not discussed the matter with Lutnick and added that he himself had never visited Epstein’s island.

In a related development, Goldman Sachs chief legal officer Kathy Ruemmler has resigned. CEO David Solomon said that recent documents released by the U.S. Justice Department showed that Ruemmler had accepted gifts from Epstein.

Ruemmler’s departure, as one of the top executive officers at the Wall Street firm, is considered the most high-profile banking exit following the release of the latest Epstein-related documents last month.
