
Lunglei, February 11, 2026: As part of the Lunglei District administration's initiative to directly deliver government services to the people, the third phase of the "I Kawtkaiah Sawrkar" campaign (Administration in the Village) was conducted today in the Thingfal village under the Lunglei RD Block for residents of Thingfal and nearby villages. Various departments, including the DC Office, Block Development Office, Animal Husbandry & Veterinary, Health & Family Welfare, Land Revenue & Settlement, Banks and other offices, set up stalls to offer on-the-spot services and assistance. During the programme, applications and services processed included 58 Aadhaar-related services, 36 MGNREGS job cards, 105 voter ID cards, 272 ST/Residential Certificates, and 20 Revenue Passes. In addition, 40 beneficiaries availed services related to opening new bank accounts and enrolment under various bank-linked government schemes. Health services were also provided, with 47 persons undergoing medical check-ups, of whom 29 availed online appointments through the LushAI Healthy Lunglei mobile application under the Healthy Lunglei District Campaign. The Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department attended to 57 cases related to animal health check-ups and vaccination. Awareness and information sessions on various government schemes were also conducted. Overall, the programme benefited approximately 635 people, reinforcing the objective of the "I Kawtkaiah Sawrkar" initiative to bring government services closer to the people in rural areas.
