Russia Denies Role in Navalny's Death Amidst Allied Accusations.webp

February 15, New Delhi – European allies have accused Russia of Alexei Navalny's death, alleging he was killed using a toxin derived from a poison dart frog, a claim that Russia has rejected as propaganda.

In a joint statement, Britain, France, Germany, Sweden, and the Netherlands said that analyses of samples from Navalny's body "conclusively" confirmed the presence of epibatidine, a toxin found in poison dart frogs native to South America and not naturally occurring in Russia.

The statement, released almost exactly two years after his death, asserted that Moscow had the means, motive, and opportunity to administer the poison.

Russia strongly denied any involvement, dismissing the allegations as a Western propaganda hoax. The Russian Embassy in London also ridiculed the claim, saying one must ask what kind of person would believe "this nonsense about a frog."
