Mumbai, Feb 3 (PTI) – Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan made his first public appearance on Monday since surviving a knife attack at his home last month. The 54-year-old star attended Netflix’s slate announcement event, expressing gratitude for being able to stand in front of an audience once again.
Khan was brutally stabbed multiple times by an intruder during an attempted robbery at his 12th-floor residence in Bandra’s Satguru Sharan on January 16. Following surgery, he was discharged from the hospital four days later.
At the event, Khan’s latest film, Jewel Thief - The Red Sun Chapter, was officially unveiled. The heist drama, directed by Robbie Grewal, features him alongside actor Jaideep Ahlawat. The film is produced by Pathaan director Siddharth Anand and Mamta Anand under the Marflix Pictures banner and will be released directly on Netflix.
Speaking about the project, Khan shared his excitement, saying, "It feels very nice to be standing here in front of you. I'm very excited about this movie. Siddharth and I have been discussing this film for a long time, and I’ve always wanted to do a heist film. I couldn’t have asked for a better co-star. It’s a lovely movie, and I’m very excited."
With the film already completed, Jewel Thief - The Red Sun Chapter is set to bring high-octane action and suspense straight to streaming audiences.
