Indian golfer posts two-over 73 at Fontanals Golf Club

Indian golfer Saptak Talwar carded a two-over-par 73 on Saturday, dropping to tied 48th at five under after three rounds of the Challenge de España on the Hotel Planner Tour. Beginning on the 10th tee, Talwar recorded three bogeys and a lone birdie during a round that never found momentum.

Charmasson seizes one-shot lead in Girona

Frenchman Clement Charmasson surged to the top with a five-under 66, reaching 15 under for the week. The 26-year-old, promoted from the Pro Golf Tour in 2024, holds a narrow advantage over Scotland’s Euan Walker on 14 under and will headline Sunday’s final pairing.

The chasing pack remains in contention

Switzerland’s Benjamin Rusch fired a six-under 65 to share third at 12 under with overnight leader Luis Masaveu of Spain. Finland’s Kim Koivu matched the low round of the day with a 64 to join Sweden’s Oliver Gillberg one stroke further back on 11 under.
Five players, including Denmark’s Victor Sidal Svendsen and Jeppe Kristian Andersen, Spain’s Joseba Torres, Wales’ Jack Davidson, and England’s Tom Shadbolt, sit at 10 under.

Final round outlook

Talwar, competing in his first full Hotel Planner Tour season, will aim to regain early-tournament form and climb the leaderboard in the closing round. Meanwhile, Charmasson is eyeing a maiden tour victory that would cap a breakout week in Girona and strengthen his push toward higher-tier events.
