Satyarthi, Baba Ramdev to attend peace summit in Dubai

Dubai, February 4 (PTI) – A major global peace summit, set to take place in Dubai next month, will feature prominent Indian personalities, including Nobel laureate Kailash Satyarthi and renowned yoga guru Baba Ramdev. The summit, themed "One Planet, One Voice: Global Justice, Love, and Peace," will be held on April 12-13, 2025.

The event will coincide with the declaration of 2025 as the ‘Year of Community’ by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, adding significant meaning to the gathering. The announcement was made by Dr. Huzaifa Khorakiwala, Chairman of the I Am Peacekeeper Movement, who confirmed the summit's dates.

The Global Justice, Love & Peace Summit will be held under the patronage of Sheikh Nahayan Mabarak Al Nahayan, the UAE Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, who will also serve as the chief guest. This summit is set to bring together 72 renowned speakers, including 10 Nobel Laureates, thought leaders, policymakers, cultural icons, sports champions, and advocates for peace and justice from around the world.

The UAE, known for its forward-thinking approach to tolerance and happiness, offers an ideal backdrop for nurturing global peace initiatives. The country is one of the few to have dedicated ministries focused on fostering tolerance and happiness, further solidifying Dubai's position as a key venue for this important event.

A significant focus of the summit will be the launch of the I Am Peacekeeper movement, a global initiative aimed at uniting one million peacekeepers by September 21, 2025. Dr. Khorakiwala emphasized that the movement will engage individuals, organizations, and communities worldwide in actionable steps towards peace, reconciliation, and justice.

This summit is set to be a powerful platform for promoting global unity and laying the foundation for lasting peace on a global scale.
