Seventeen MPs and Two Committees Selected for Sansad Ratna Award 2025​

New Delhi, May 18 – Seventeen Members of Parliament, including Bhartruhari Mahtab and actor-turned-politician Ravi Kishan, along with two Parliamentary Standing Committees, have been named recipients of the prestigious Sansad Ratna Award 2025.

The Sansad Ratna Awards, instituted by the Prime Point Foundation, honour exemplary contributions by MPs towards strengthening parliamentary democracy. The selection was made by a Jury Committee chaired by Hansraj Ahir, Chairman of the National Commission for Backward Classes.

Recognised for Consistent Parliamentary Excellence​

Four parliamentarians have been chosen for their Outstanding and Consistent Contribution to Parliamentary Democracy. These include Bhartruhari Mahtab, Supriya Sule (NCP-SP), N K Premachandran (RSP), and Shrirang Appa Barne. According to the Prime Point Foundation, these leaders have demonstrated top-tier performance during both the 16th and 17th Lok Sabha and continue to maintain their high standards.

In addition to individual MPs, two departmentally related standing committees have been recognised for their exceptional performance:
  • Standing Committee on Finance, chaired by Bhartruhari Mahtab
  • Standing Committee on Agriculture, chaired by Congress leader Charanjit Singh Channi
Both committees were lauded for the quality and impact of their reports submitted to Parliament.
