Pune, February 9 NCP (SP) chief Sharad Pawar was taken to a hospital in Pune city from his residence in Baramati on Monday afternoon after he complained of throat irritation and coughing. A close aide said the 85-year-old opposition leader was being taken to Ruby Hall Clinic as he was suffering from a throat infection. Dr Parvez Grant, chief cardiologist and managing trustee of Ruby Hall Clinic, confirmed the development. "Upon arrival, a team of doctors will examine him and then decide on the further course of action," Dr Grant said.
