JAMMU, FEBRUARY 12: Divisional Commissioner Jammu and Chairman of the Shri Shiv Khori Shrine Board, Ransoo, Ramesh Kumar, chaired a meeting to review arrangements for the upcoming Maha Shivratri Mela 2026, to be held from February 14-16 at the Shri Shiv Khori Shrine in Ransoo, Reasi.
The meeting was attended by the Deputy Commissioner of Reasi, Commissioner of JMC, Deputy Commissioner of Jammu, SSP of Jammu, Director General of Floriculture, Director of FCS&CA, Director of Tourism, Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner, Director of Health, and other concerned officers.
During the meeting, the Divisional Commissioner reviewed the arrangements made by the concerned departments at the Shri Shiv Khori Shrine in Ransoo for the successful conduct of the annual holy mela, which attracts a large number of devotees.
The Div Com sought an update on the preparations, including road and track maintenance, provision of water and power supply, traffic management, crowd control, queue management, registration of pilgrims, availability of doctors and ambulances, functioning of ghats, space for langars, verification of vendors, and issued related directions.
He emphasized the importance of complete sanitation along the tracks and at the shrine to provide the best experience for the devotees. He directed the hiring of additional workers to ensure cleanliness of washrooms around the clock.
