Shiv Sena's Naresh Mhaske Demands Probe into Sanjay Raut's Remarks on Indian Army and Operati...webp

Thane, May 12 – Shiv Sena leader and Thane MP Naresh Mhaske has called for an investigation into Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Raut, accusing him of spreading misinformation about the Indian Army and undermining the integrity of 'Operation Sindoor'.

Mhaske, who represents the Shiv Sena (Eknath Shinde faction), alleged that Raut was “speaking Pakistan’s language” and attempting to politicize the actions of the armed forces. He emphasized that the Indian Army is a national institution and should not be subjected to political scrutiny or slander.

"The Indian Army belongs to the country and not to any political party. It deserves complete trust of every citizen," Mhaske asserted while addressing the media in Thane.

The controversy stems from Raut’s recent statements on Sunday, where the Shiv Sena (UBT) leader criticized the Narendra Modi-led government for what he described as a hasty diplomatic understanding with Pakistan. According to Raut, this decision came at a moment when India had a strategic opportunity to “teach Pakistan a lesson.”

Raut further alleged that the move was influenced by external pressure from former US President Donald Trump and was aimed at safeguarding certain industrial interests in Gujarat.

Mhaske’s demand for a probe adds to the escalating political friction between the rival Sena factions ahead of the upcoming elections. The incident also highlights the deepening divide over national security narratives in political discourse.
