
February 11, New Delhi – In shooting, India's gold medal count reached 39 at the Asian Championship for Rifle and Pistol in New Delhi. Prachi Gaikwad won the gold medal in the junior women’s 50-meter rifle three-position final, scoring 353.3 points. Tomiris Amanova of Kazakhstan won the silver, while Anushka Thokur of India secured the bronze with a score of 341.1 points after 34 shots. Aakriti Dahiya won the silver medal in the 50-meter rifle, while Olympian Anjum Moudgil won the bronze. Sofiya Shulzhenko of Kazakhstan finished first with a new world record score of 358.2. The accumulated scores of the shooters ensured that India won the women's team silver medal.
