Mumbai, May 16—The highly anticipated folk thriller Vvan—Force of the Forest, starring Sidharth Malhotra and Tamannaah Bhatia, will be released in Indian cinemas on May 15, 2026, as announced by the makers on Friday.
The film marks a significant collaboration between Balaji Telefilms Ltd, led by Ektaa R Kapoor, and digital entertainment powerhouse The Viral Fever (TVF). The movie is jointly directed by Arunabh Kumar and Deepak Mishra, widely known for their acclaimed work on the popular web series Panchayat.
In a social media post, Balaji Telefilms teased the theatrical adventure, writing:
"The forest has whispered. The force will be unleashed on 15th May, 2026! Get ready for the big screen adventure!"
Originally slated for a release during Chhath Puja in 2025, the film has now been rescheduled to spring 2026. This project also marks the first collaboration between Balaji Telefilms and TVF following their creative alliance formed in 2023.
With a blend of folklore and thrilling narrative elements, Vvan – Force of the Forest is poised to deliver a unique cinematic experience on the big screen.
