Sikkim jolted by 4.7-magnitude earthquake.webp


Gangtok, February 7 Parts of Sikkim were shaken on Saturday evening by a 4.7 magnitude earthquake, officials said.
The epicenter of the quake, which occurred at 6:35 pm, was 11 km from Maneybung in West Sikkim, according to the India Meteorological Department.
An official from the Sikkim Disaster Management Authority (SDMA) stated that there were no reports of any injuries or damage to property caused by the earthquake.
The tremors were felt in Gangtok and a few other places in Sikkim, as well as in parts of Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan, and China, the IMD said.
