
New Delhi, February 13 Silver prices rose by Rs 5,465 to Rs 2,41,900 per kilogram in futures trading on Friday, as traders increased their positions.
On the Multi Commodity Exchange, silver contracts for March delivery increased by Rs 5,465 or 2.31 per cent to Rs 2,41,900 per kg, with a trading volume of 3,201 lots.
Analysts said that the rise in silver prices was due to fresh positions taken up by traders.
Globally, silver was trading at USD 77.15 per ounce in New York, up 2.49 per cent.
