Sitharaman Meets with APM Terminals CEO in Germany.webp

Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs, Nirmala Sitharaman, met with APM Terminals CEO, Keith Svendsen, in Munich, Germany. In a social media post, the Ministry of Finance stated that during the meeting, both sides discussed the benefits of the recently concluded India-EU Free Trade Agreement. It added that Mr. Svendsen spoke about the positive and long-standing relationship between his company and India, and highlighted key investments and partnerships across its maritime ecosystem. He also expressed the intention to continue expanding this collaboration throughout India. Mr. Svendsen further praised India's reform initiatives over the years, particularly deregulation and ease of doing business. On the occasion, the CEO also mentioned key announcements made in the Union Budget 2026-27, including those related to container manufacturing.
