Sooraj Pancholi suffers burns on film set, father Aditya Pancholi says actor undergoing treatment

Mumbai, Feb 4 (PTI) – Actor Sooraj Pancholi sustained significant burns while filming an action scene for his upcoming movie Kesari Veer: Legend of Somnath at Film City in Mumbai. His father, actor Aditya Pancholi, confirmed the news, stating that Sooraj is receiving treatment for the injury.

Reports indicate that the accident occurred while shooting a stunt that involved the use of fire. The situation reportedly escalated during a patchwork scene for the period drama. Speaking to PTI from Surat, Aditya Pancholi explained, "I spoke to the producer, and they informed me that it was during some patchwork for the film, which involved fire. It got a bit out of control. Sooraj got injured but is receiving treatment, and everything will be fine."

Directed by Prince Dhiman and produced by Kanu Chauhan, Kesari Veer: Legend of Somnath is a historical drama set to feature Sooraj Pancholi alongside renowned actors Suniel Shetty and Vivek Oberoi.

Sooraj Pancholi, who made his acting debut in 2015 with Hero, has since starred in films like Satellite Shankar and Time to Dance.

His family and the production team have not disclosed further details about the severity of the burns, but sources indicate that Sooraj is expected to make a full recovery.
