Chennai, Feb 26: Star Health and Allied Insurance Company Ltd has expanded its Home Health Care initiative to 100 locations across India, strengthening its commitment to accessible and affordable healthcare.

Initially launched in July 2023, the program now covers 85% of Star Health Insurance’s customer base, offering cashless, doorstep medical services. The initiative is designed to reduce hospitalisation costs, ease logistical challenges, and alleviate the stress of seeking medical care.

“At Star Health, we believe health insurance is more than just financial coverage—a bridge to accessible healthcare for all. Our goal is to eliminate barriers such as high hospitalization expenses and logistical hurdles, ensuring quality medical care is easily available to our customers,” said Anand Roy, Managing Director and CEO of Star Health, in a company statement.

Cities such as Mumbai, Delhi, and Pune have strongly adopted Home Health Care services, primarily treating conditions like viral fever and dengue. So far, over 15,000 patients have benefitted from this initiative.

“This program is a testament to our dedication to transforming health insurance delivery by making it more accessible and aligned with the evolving needs of our customers,” Roy added.

The expansion has been made possible through strategic partnerships with leading healthcare service providers, including Care24, Portea, Athulya, and Apollo.

With this initiative, Star Health continues to innovate in the health insurance sector, bringing quality medical care directly to customers’ homes and redefining the healthcare experience.
