Celebrating International Women's Day with Free Health Camps Across 40+ Locations

Star Health and Allied Insurance Limited (Star Health Insurance) is commemorating International Women's Day 2025 with the launch of 'SheTARA', an extensive women's health initiative aimed at providing free medical screenings and accessible healthcare across Tamil Nadu. The campaign will feature health camps at over 40 locations, including a flagship event at the company's Anna Nagar branch in Chennai.

Promoting Early Detection and Preventive Healthcare

The 'SheTARA' health initiative is dedicated to the early detection of critical health issues through comprehensive medical screenings such as BMI assessments, blood pressure monitoring, blood sugar levels, haemoglobin checks, thyroid function tests, bone mineral density tests, and subsidized ultrasound screenings when recommended by doctors.

Star Health Insurance underscores the importance of preventive healthcare, particularly in a society where women frequently prioritize family responsibilities over personal health. Anand Roy, MD & CEO of Star Health Insurance, emphasized, "Women's health is not just a personal concern; it is a fundamental pillar of a thriving society. When women are healthier, families, communities, and economies prosper."

Special Webinar: Women's Health and Work-Life Balance in the Age of AI

In addition to physical health camps, the initiative will host a special webinar titled "Navigating Gynecological Health and Work-Life Balance in the Age of AI." Led by a renowned gynecologist, this webinar aims to provide critical insights into women's health and well-being amidst rapid technological and social changes.

Encouraging Women to Join Star Health Insurance Network

Building upon its success, Star Health Insurance invites more women to become insurance advisors, highlighting significant career opportunities and financial independence through flexible work arrangements. Currently, Star Health Insurance boasts over 16,000 women agents in Tamil Nadu alone, generating business volumes exceeding Rs. 420 crore and facilitating nearly Rs. 250 crore in health claim settlements during FY25 (April-January 2025).

Notably, the company's unique "Pink Branch" in Chennai, managed entirely by 12 women, successfully supports over 300 women agents—reflecting the company's commitment to empowering women professionally and financially.

Reinforcing Healthcare as a Fundamental Right

With the 'SheTARA' initiative, Star Health Insurance reiterates its vision that quality healthcare is a fundamental right. The company aims to create a lasting impact by placing women's health at the forefront, ensuring better healthcare outcomes and financial security for women across Tamil Nadu.

This International Women's Day, Star Health Insurance proudly reinforces its mission: empowering women through accessible healthcare, financial independence, and professional growth—building a healthier future, one woman at a time.
