Jaipur, February 12 Panic gripped Ganeshwar Teerth in the Sikar district of Rajasthan on Thursday after an explosion occurred when a suitcase thrown into a kund (small water body) by two unidentified men, police said.
The incident took place at the pilgrimage site, where renovation work was underway.
Deputy SP Sushil Mann said the two men fled after throwing the suitcase into the water body. An explosion immediately followed as the suitcase hit the water, causing smoke to spread across the area.
Workers at the site informed local residents, who then contacted the police.
Mann said three packets of salt were found inside the suitcase. "Efforts are underway to identify and apprehend the accused," the officer said.
