Suman Kumar Takes Charge as Director (Planning & Business Development) at Indian Oil Corporation

New Delhi, Feb 27: Suman Kumar has officially assumed the position of Director (Planning & Business Development) on the board of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), the country's largest oil refining and marketing company.

Before this appointment, Kumar was the Executive Director leading the Exploration and Production (E&P) vertical at IOC's Corporate Office. With over 30 years of industry experience, he has been instrumental in scaling up key business segments, including natural gas, petrochemicals, city gas distribution, and renewable energy.

A mechanical engineer from MIT Muzaffarpur, Kumar also holds an MBA and has undergone advanced management training. He has held leadership roles throughout his career across various domains, including LPG operations, petroleum product sales, energy conservation, and carbon emission mitigation.

Kumar will drive IOC’s expanding business ventures in his new capacity, overseeing growth in petrochemicals, natural gas, E&P, green energy initiatives, diversification strategies, and industrial explosives.

His leadership is expected to strengthen IOC’s position in the evolving energy landscape, aligning with the company’s long-term strategic goals.
