In Behad village near the revered Chintpurni temple in Una district, locals reported a loud explosion around 1:30 AM on Saturday during a region-wide blackout. Upon investigation, they found a large metallic object resembling parts of a missile and promptly alerted the police.Behad, situated just 10 km from the Chintpurni shrine and close to the Punjab border, became a focal point of concern. While initial investigations suggested the object was inactive, the district administration stated that a team of experts had been deployed to examine it thoroughly.
Officials suspect the debris could be from a defused rocket allegedly launched during Pakistan’s failed attempts to target northern regions on Friday night.
Drone and Missile Debris Spotted in Kangra District
Two additional suspicious objects were found in the Indora area of Kangra district. At Damtal village near Pathankot, locals discovered what appeared to be the remains of a drone, possibly shot down by the Indian Army. In a separate incident, debris believed to be from a missile was recovered from Jota village.Police have cordoned off all affected areas and issued public advisories urging residents to avoid approaching any unidentified metallic objects, warning of potential risks.

Meanwhile, in Hamirpur, panic spread as the sound of Army aircraft flying overhead disrupted the peace around 2:00 AM. Many residents reportedly turned off lights as a precautionary measure amid rising tensions.Hamirpur Deputy Commissioner Amarjeet Singh directed all departments to maintain high alert and remain prepared for emergencies. He also advised the public to refrain from spreading unverified information and cautioned against AI-generated fake news and videos circulating online.
