Enhanced Convenience for Train Passengers Across India

Swiggy, India's popular food and grocery delivery platform, announced on Friday that it has successfully expanded its food delivery services to 100 railway stations spanning 20 states nationwide. This expansion marks a significant milestone in Swiggy’s ongoing partnership with the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), initiated in March 2024.

Nationwide Reach and Future Expansion Plans

According to a statement from Swiggy, the company aims to further increase its coverage, ensuring passengers at even more railway stations across India can enjoy convenient access to food delivery. The expansion seeks to cater to the diverse culinary preferences of travelers, enhancing their overall journey experience.

Enhancing the Indian Rail Journey Experience

Deepak Maloo, Vice President of Swiggy Food Marketplace, highlighted the cultural significance of train travel in India and emphasized the vital role food plays in enhancing the experience. "Train journeys are an integral part of India's culture, and food plays a central role in that experience," said Maloo. "Expanding Swiggy Food on Trains to 100 stations allows us to serve passengers with greater convenience and access to a diverse range of meals from across the country."

Swiggy’s initiative aligns closely with IRCTC’s mission to enhance passenger satisfaction through better service and wider meal options, bringing together convenience, variety, and timely service right to travelers' seats.
