Mumbai, Feb 28 – Synergy Marine Group has joined hands with Mercy Ships to improve access to healthcare and support the well-being of seafarers, the company announced on Friday.
As part of this collaboration, Synergy Marine Group will provide initial support by offering free office space at its European hub in Ørestad, Copenhagen. Additionally, the company will contribute maritime technical expertise, medical teleconsultations, awareness campaigns, and dedicated fundraising efforts to bolster the humanitarian work of Mercy Ships.
Speaking about the partnership, Synergy Marine Group Founder and Chairman Captain Rajesh Unni emphasized the group's commitment to actively driving awareness and fundraising initiatives to aid Mercy Ships’ life-saving missions. He highlighted that Synergy’s panel of doctors, who support seafarers, will also provide follow-up teleconsultations for patients treated during Mercy Ships' medical missions.
Mercy Ships, a nonprofit organization, operates hospital ships staffed by over 1,000 volunteer seafarers and medical professionals from 60 countries. These ships provide free surgical care and medical training across Africa, offering critical healthcare services to underserved communities.
