Colombo, February 10 USA captain Monank Patel won the toss and opted to field in a T20 World Cup Group A match against Pakistan here on Tuesday.
"It looks like a good batting pitch and consistent wind. Once we know the target, it will be easier to chase," Patel said at the toss.
Pakistan had defeated the Netherlands in their first match, but the USA lost to India in Mumbai.
