Calls Ceasefire a "Welcome Step", Salutes Armed Forces
Chennai, May 10 — Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin on Saturday welcomed the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan, calling it a positive move toward lasting peace and stability in the region.Taking to social media, Stalin stated, “Tamil Nadu marched in solidarity with the #IndianArmedForces. The ceasefire is a welcome step — may peace endure. Our heartfelt salute to the courage of those who guard our borders.”
The chief minister also led a massive rally in Chennai to express solidarity with the Indian armed forces amid recent cross-border tensions. The rally witnessed a large turnout, with participants echoing their support for the nation’s military personnel who continue to safeguard the borders under challenging circumstances.
