Chennai, May 10 — Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin on Saturday welcomed the ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan, calling it a positive move toward lasting peace and stability in the region.

Taking to social media, Stalin stated, “Tamil Nadu marched in solidarity with the #IndianArmedForces. The ceasefire is a welcome step — may peace endure. Our heartfelt salute to the courage of those who guard our borders.”

The chief minister also led a massive rally in Chennai to express solidarity with the Indian armed forces amid recent cross-border tensions. The rally witnessed a large turnout, with participants echoing their support for the nation’s military personnel who continue to safeguard the borders under challenging circumstances.

The ceasefire announcement, hailed across the political spectrum, has brought a sense of relief amid the escalating military conflict. Stalin's public show of support underscored Tamil Nadu's unity with national efforts to maintain peace and security.
