New Delhi, March 1: Tata Motors reported an 8% decline in overall vehicle sales, recording 79,344 units sold in February compared to 86,406 units in the same month last year. The automaker faced lower demand across both passenger and commercial vehicle segments.
Domestic Sales Dip by 9%
In a regulatory filing, Tata Motors disclosed that its total domestic sales fell by 9%, registering 77,232 units in February, down from 84,834 units during the corresponding period last year.Passenger Vehicle Sales See Drop, EVs Included
The company's passenger vehicle (PV) segment, which includes electric vehicles (EVs), experienced a 9% decrease in sales, recording 46,811 units compared to 51,321 units in February last year.Commercial Vehicle Sales Decline
Meanwhile, the commercial vehicle (CV) division saw a 7% decline in sales year-on-year, with total sales of 32,533 units during February.The overall sales figures reflect ongoing challenges faced by the automotive sector, with Tata Motors highlighting reduced demand across its major segments.
