Gurugram, May 13 — Tension gripped Farrukhnagar on Tuesday morning after a tea-samosa stall owner was shot dead by armed assailants near Jhajjar Chowk. The victim, identified as Rakesh Kumar, was allegedly a relative of former councillor Mukesh Saini.
Tragically, the conflict turned fatal the next morning when assailants returned and opened fire, killing Kumar on the spot.
"A case of murder has been registered, and the accused have been identified. Arrests will be made soon," a police spokesperson said.
Protestors lifted the blockade only after senior police officials arrived and assured swift action. Authorities also promised disciplinary measures against any policemen who were negligent in handling Kumar’s prior complaints.
Argument Over Samosas Turns Deadly
According to police officials, the incident followed a confrontation that took place on Monday evening when a group of youths visited Kumar's stall to purchase samosas. An FIR naming five suspects has been filed at the Farrukhnagar Police Station. Gurugram Police confirmed that multiple teams have been constituted to swiftly apprehend the accused."A case of murder has been registered, and the accused have been identified. Arrests will be made soon," a police spokesperson said.
Public Outrage and Road Blockade
The murder triggered outrage among the local community. Kumar's family, fellow shopkeepers, and residents blocked Jhajjar Chowk, demanding justice and the immediate arrest of the perpetrators.
