24×7 Control Room Set Up at Telangana Bhavan to Assist Citizens in Conflict Zones

Hyderabad, May 10: Amid rising tensions between India and Pakistan, the Telangana government has stepped up relief efforts to safeguard its citizens currently in the border regions. In a swift and coordinated response, eight individuals from Telangana who were stranded in Jammu and Kashmir have safely reached Telangana Bhavan in New Delhi, the state government confirmed on Saturday.

To ensure constant support, the government has established a 24x7 control room at Telangana Bhavan. This facility is actively receiving distress calls and coordinating rescue operations for Telangana residents in affected areas. As of Saturday, the control room had logged around 30 distress calls from citizens seeking assistance.

Comprehensive Support and Relief Measures

The government emphasized that it is working in close coordination with border district administrations to monitor the situation and facilitate the movement of Telangana residents to safer locations.

"Eight individuals from Jammu and Kashmir have safely arrived at Telangana Bhavan and are being provided with all necessary support," a government release stated.

Efforts are ongoing to arrange their safe return to their respective hometowns across Telangana.

Under the direct instructions of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy, Telangana Bhavan has been designated as the nodal center for relief coordination. Several support services have been activated at the facility:
  • Free food and lodging for returning citizens
  • Medical camp for health check-ups and emergency care
  • Transportation assistance to airports and railway stations for onward travel
  • Alternate accommodation arrangements, if required
